@Bradsm football is a funny game and you're only as good as your next one. Chelsea's loss to Sunderland means nothing if we don't beat Chelsea next weekend and this is exactly what Rodgers said after the game. 3 more games, time will tell.

I can't agree with you about Jose's press conference though. He just lacks class that fella, blaming the ref when it was the assistant who called it. Some go your way, others don't and plenty have gone their way this year. Personally I think the manager should show more dignity and respect to the opposition,

I was really impressed by the Man City manager Pellengrini after the loss to LFC, shaking all the 'pool players' hands. THere was a clear penatly missed by the ref but he didn't blame him. Imagine what Mourinho would've been like!!!

I don't have an issue if mourinho wants to whinge but his efforts the other day were both lame and poor. He hasn't fronted to a media conference for some time and to refuse to answer questions the way he did was pretty silly. I am all for having a whinge but that was so lame it made him look like a goose.

Not the first and won't be the last to be caught drink driving. Why they don't call a cab is beyond me, not like they can't afford it.

The word class and Mourinho have never been synonymous.

Mmmmm so benji wants to return to the nrl

Would he be interested in playing fullback? If not you would assume someone who is looking for a 5/8 may be keen. Possibly the broncos and the warriors. Also may depend on salary cap space. Not many teams would have much space. Smart money is he will go to England.

I hope no one signs him
He thinks he's bigger than the game

yeah i dont like his onfield demeanor. He acts as if hes too cool.

Roosters will have room in their cap for Benji

The roosters have a 5/8 and half plus their captain is fullback. No chance of going there.

Great atmosphere too and another close exciting game . The footy has been terrific this weekend except of course for the whole shepherd obstruction confusion . With regard to the try not given for Parra . Yes I thought it was a try but what was the player who was running the decoy thinking . With all the scrutiny you would think he would try not to barge into the bloke who of course is going to fall over . Just stupid .

These rules are confusing
Very confusing

What do you guys think, Get Benji to Belmore and put at fullback? We will have a very good ball playing fullback.

Axe..you always seem to come up with something like this...weren't you saying the same about Blake Ferguson...Benji is damaged goods. He really was never as good as some thought him to be. Touches of brilliance...yes but consistently...never...ever. Not with a ten foot pole.

Benji in blue and white
NEVER

I just think the guy the last 2 odd years was extremely stale. Was just over it. Same coach for 9 years, same voice, already won a premiership, just got married etc etc.
What happened to him is pretty embarrassing with union and may make him realise he isn't as good an athlete as he thinks he is.
IMO, I say he comes back with a bit fire under the belly, different coach, different voice, different structures etc etc.
Don't forget, he was also playing behind a pack that was getting bashed.
Imagine him playing behind our pack at FB? He wont tire with the defense. I am sure he would be good under the high ball as he is a natural freak of an athlete.
I still think we need that X factor at the back around semi final time. We cant rely on kicking FG's in the 79th minute to win games. I would take a punt on him for sure.

The great Benji Marshall couldn't hack it in Union ? I thought Rugby Union was a simple game where nobody could tackle and BJ was going to carve it up . At least that is what he told his wife when he moved her over there ..ha ha ha
steveswr

steveswr

Axe...even if there was a modicum of logic in your assessment, which personally I feel there isn't Benji would not want a pittance. Once the fire goes out of the belly then you can forget about most players

It's really humorous listening to all the coaches and players bitching an bellyaching about poor refs decisions and being ripped off in matches. What short memories some of them have. All I can say is welcome to the Bulldogs world. We have been copping it for years. Maybe karma is finally getting around to restoring an equilibrium.
Balso

Balso

The whole ref thing is not worth worrying about . If you want to be a contender than your team has to be better than any contentious ref decisions that are coming your way . Simple equation

The Telecrap can never handle the Bulldogs on top, its so predictable. Hope they concentrate on real news stories like Bird the new squirrel gripper. I want close up photos, including the riveting testimony from Manu ..... he grabbed my nuts ref lol.

Loved Birds reply
“I don’t know I just tackled him,” Bird said. “It was nothing R-rated. He was not that lucky.”

No way a model citizen like Bird, would do such a thing:))
