Source: http://www.hullkr.co.ukHull Kingston Rovers are delighted to announce that Shaun Briscoe has signed on a two year deal for next season.
Born in Wigan, the 24-year-old utility back holds all the necessary attributes that Justin Morgan is looking for in a player.
Briscoe began his rugby league career at Wigan Warriors in the under 18's academy side, before making his first team debut for Wigan Warriors first team in 2002.
The former Hull FC play-maker has a great defensive game and is know within rugby league for his tremendous support play, often putting his body on the line and always working hard for his team mates.
Head Coach Justin Morgan remarked:
"Shaun has a fantastic work ethic and will add a whole new dimension to the backs. He has a lot of experience and has played internationally for England which adds to his quality as a player. He continues to impress me with his ability to cover several positions and is a player that will definitely compliment the squad."Meanwhile, talented 23-year-old Wakefield Trinity Wildcats winger Peter Fox joins Morgan's men next season on a two-year deal.
The former Leeds Rhinos winger has been virtually ever present this season for Wakefield and certainly has plenty of pace to burn making him very familiar with the try line.
Whilst on loan his natural ability and desire earned him a place in the National League 1 dream team in 2006 for York City Knights where he was top try scorer and picked up the Player of the Year award.
Fox commented:
"I'm really enjoying my rugby at the moment and when the chance came up to go and play for Rovers I didn't hesitate to take it."Morgan said:
"Peter has plenty of speed and he has established himself well within the Super League competition this year, he is a player that will excite the fans and to have a finisher of his calibre on the end of our back-line will be a huge asset to the team."Last week, Hull Kingston Rovers were delighted to confirm that 23-year-old Jake Webster will be joining the Red and White's next season on a three-year deal.
The former Melbourne Storm player signed for the Gold Coast Titans in 2006 and soon became a member of their inaugural season. Jake formed part of a historic and very important group of originals at the Gold Coast Titans and is a welcomed addition to Morgan's squad for 2008.
The Kiwi international can play centre or wing, he will add speed and strength to the outside backs and is a fantastic finisher. He possesses a great mixture of power and vision and has the ability to capatilise on the smallest of chances enabling him to score tries with ease.
Morgan commented:
"It's great for the club to be able to attract a player of Jake's calibre. Being able to sign a player with international experience and qualities demonstrates how far the club has come in recent years, and I'm sure he'll be a fans' favourite."Webster said:
"I have always wanted to play in the UK, and being given the opportunity to play in the Super League competition is a dream come true for me. I'm excited about what lies ahead and look forward to the challenges that Super League brings."Another signing, off the field, with Hull Kingston Rovers announcing that Strength and Conditioning Coach Billy Mallison will be joining Justin Morgan's backroom staff next season on a two-year deal.
The highly rated strength and conditioner is to join the Robins at the beginning of next season and the former Hull FC coach is delighted with the decision he has made.
Thrilled about joining the team for 2008 Mallison said:
"I'm looking forward to the challenges that this move will present, it's great to be part of a forward progressing club. Hull Kingston Rovers are a top team and this is a new chapter in my career that I'm confident I can fulfill."Morgan said:
"Billy is a crucial addition to the team, he not only offers vital on-field experience, and he adds a touch of class to the backroom staff. Within the game and on a whole he is highly regarded, the significance of Billy joining the team is huge, probably the biggest signing for us for next season."News sent by:

Source: www.titans.com.auNew Zealand International Jake Webster will be released from his playing contract by the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans at the close of the 2007 NRL season.
Webster who represented New Zealand this year will continue his career in the UK Super League.
Managing Director Michael Searle said,
"Jake had personally approached us on Monday of this week about a possible release to pursue an opportunity to play in the centres for a UK Super League team. Jake has always expressed a desire to play in the centres and this combined with a substantial increase in his playing fee made this an opportunity that he felt he could not pass up. With this in mind we have agreed to mutually terminate his agreement at season's end.
"Jake formed part of an historic and very important group of originals at the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans and we wish him all the best."With competition for outside back positions at the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans set to increase in 2008 following the signing of exciting flyers Brenton Bowen and Ben Jefferies, Coach John Cartwright says he understands Webster's decision.
Cartwright said,
"He has received a huge offer and to be fair we tried to put ourselves in the same position as Jake and the reality is that there are no guarantees for starting positions at the club looking ahead to 2008."News sent by:
