Source: www.leedsrugby.comLeeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield has been given the all clear to continue playing after a scan revealed no damage to his knee.
Sinfield was carried off the field in last Friday's 23-22 defeat at Wigan and initial fears were that he has suffered a serious knee injury. However, treatment over the weekend and a scan on Tuesday have cleared him to play this Friday against Huddersfield at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 8pm.
The Rhinos will also welcome back New Zealand international Clinton Toopi who has not played since dislocating his shoulder in the Carnegie World Club Challenge win over Melbourne Storm back in February.
Commenting on his return Toopi said, "The shoulder is not an issue at all. I have been doing a bit of ruck work this week and it didn't bother me at all, it is like having a new shoulder.
I want to make up for lost time. Having been out for three and half months I want to help the boys in anyway I can. If I can lift and motivate them, to help the team gain some form, that would be great. I don't want to blow myself out and I need to make sure that I am making the right decisions and I am solid on defence.
"It was a long time and I tried to stay positive throughout. It hasn't just been just my family and friends that have helped but the boys have been really supportive as well. The other guys who have been out with long term injuries have been motivating each other. Myself, Ian Kirke and Ashley Gibson have pushed each other on saying which one is going to be back first, I think I might have the nod this week so I can claim that one!
"I am a man of faith as well and I believe that God has blessed me with fast healing. My wife has always been there for me and I love her dearly. Our physio Mei has been a great support to me and the other injured players. He has had a lot to deal with this year but he has always made time for us, coming in early before the other players arrive for training or staying late to get us back earlier than originally planned by doing extra work. Everyone has helped to motivate me and that has made me even more excited about coming back," added the 28-year-old.
The squad in full is:

2. Scott Donald
3. Clinton Toopi

Source: www.leedsrugby.comLeeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield is set to become the second highest points scorer in the club's 113 year history after reaching yet another milestone in his incredible career.
Sinfield, who is the most successful captain in the club's history and the only man to captain Leeds to two Championship wins, equalled Joe Thompson's 1,883 points with a last minute drop goal to seal a 23-16 win over Wigan in the Carnegie Challenge Cup last Saturday.
The Leeds skipper, who is currently enjoying a testimonial season with the club, became the first Leeds player to play and score in every game in a season last year and recently set a new Super League record doing the same in 49 consecutive games. Sinfield's overall scoring run in Cup, League and play-offs stands at 60 matches, which is a Leeds club record. His run began with three goals in a 14-18 engage Super League home defeat by St. Helens on 2 July 2006. The run has brought him 548 points from eight tries and 261 goals, including six drop goals.
Prop Thompson joined Leeds from Cross Keys in 1922 and became one of the club's first real superstars in a career that lasted eleven glorious seasons. The leading point scorer of all time for Leeds is Lewis Jones who racked up a remarkable 2,920 in 12 seasons, some 1,037 ahead of Sinfield.
Commenting on the milestone Chief Executive Gary Hetherington said, "This is yet another remarkable milestone for a player who is still so young. We have had some wonderful players play for Leeds over the past 113 years and Kevin is certainly amongst the finest to have pulled on the Blue & Amber."
Head Coach Brian McClennan added, "Kevin is a tremendous leader for our club and someone that everyone holds in the very highest regard. His achievements on the field are only matched by his hard work and commitment to the club and the game off the field. I am sure he will go on to set many more records in the years ahead and we are all looking forward to helping him do that."
