Cronulla coach Ricky Stuart has only made one change to the Sharks side for Saturday's clash against the Eels at Parramatta Stadium.
Jacob Selmes has been added to the Sharks ever increasing injury list sustaining a hamstring injury last night, which will keep him out for 1-2 weeks. Ben Ross moves from the Interchange into the front-row position and Fraser Anderson has been added to the bench.
The Sharks have lost their last seven matches to slide all the way down the table into 15th position and are now only two points ahead of Penrith at the bottom of the table. The positive for the Sharks is that their for and against is quite healthy and it means the Panthers will have to win two more games than Cronulla in the final four rounds to leap frog them on the table.
It hasn't been a case of the Sharks playing poorly and in the majority of those seven matches they've been in positions to win matches, but they've been unable to deliver the killer blow. Cronulla only lost by a point to competition leaders Melbourne last night and at one stage looked the likely winners of the clash.
Parramatta have been in terrific form of late defeating Brisbane and the Bulldogs in their last three matches and in between lost very narrowly to Manly in one of the best games of the season.

Source: www.sharks.com.auSharks second rower Cameron Ciraldo will miss the next two games after being suspended for a high tackle on Souths forward Dean Widders.
Ciraldo was charged with a grade 4 careless tackle, with the charge attracting 253 points and a two match suspension for an early plea. After viewing video footage of the tackle the Sharks have decided not to fight the charge. Ciraldo would have missed an extra match had they challenged and failed to have the charge dropped or downgraded.
The tackle in question came in the 77th minute of the match, with Ciraldo catching Widders high while defending the Sharks try line. He had previously been put on report for another high shot but that tackle was not charged by the match review committee.
After missing a number of weeks due to a fractured thumb, Ciraldo had fought his way back into the first grade squad and was extremely disappointed to be forced to spend the next two weeks on the sideline.
Meanwhile, the Sharks will send Ben Ross and Jacob Selmes back to Premier League this weekend in a bid to improve their match fitness for the Sharks run home to the finals.
The pair both played in the NRL last weekend in the Sharks loss to Souths.
The Sharks side will also feature Phil Leuluai, Henry Perenara and Misi Taulapapa, in what on paper is a solid Sharks 17.
The Premier League and Jersey Flegg Sharks travel to Penrith this week for games against the Panthers.
After suffering a loss to the North Sydney Bears, the Premier League Sharks will be desperate for a win to stay inside the top eight on the competition ladder, while the Flegg Sharks, languishing towards the bottom of the table, need a victory to stay in touch with leading contenders.
The Premier League Sharks clash with the Panthers at CUA Stadium on Saturday 30 June, kick off at 5.15pm, while the Jersey Flegg match gets underway at the same venue at 3.45pm.
