Wakefield sign Moore and Bibey
Sat September 30, 2006
by Matthew O'Neill
Wakefield have boosted their front-row depth for the 2007 season former England prop Richard Moore and also Ricky Bibey from the National League ranks on rolling week-to-week contracts.

Both forwards, who are 25 are found themselves in the National League One competition and have been handed a Super League lifeline by the Wildcats who only just survived the cut themselves with a final round victory against Castleford two weeks ago.

Moore used to play for Bradford whilst Bibey had a stint with St Helens.

Wakefield coach John Kear said,

"Richard is another 'project' for us, if you like. Like Ricky, he's a Super League prop who has lost his way but we think it is too early to give up hope on both players and that they'll respond accordingly.

"I'm confident that the 'project' will succeed because of Richard's undoubted talent and the quality of coaching he'll get here at Wakefield.

"Both Props will be under the stewardship Paul Broadbent, who knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a frontline forward at the highest level."
