Nick Kenny has vowed to secure a starting spot in the team after signing a new deal with the WOW Brisbane Broncos.

Kenny cemented the deal today that keeps him at the Broncos in 2009, with an option for the following year.

The qualified physiotherapists said he was happy with the way his season was going, and that he aimed to take larger responsibility in the future.

"I never wanted to go to another club," said Kenny.

"I have been here for a while and only the last two years I have been playing regular first grade.

"There are some guys leaving next year and I would like to push for a run-on spot - that's what my personal goal is."
