Mon June 5, 2006 Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls have today announced that forward Matt James has signed a new three year contract with the club and will remain at Odsal until the end of the 2009 Super League season. James, who has represented England at Academy level, has made two Super League appearances this season and is highly rated by Bulls Coach Steve McNamara. "He's another outstanding talent, a young player who is not only going to be around in the future but now as well. Matt's already had an opportunity at First Team level and is progressing nicely. He was a little bit slow at the start of the year because of an injury pre-season but now he's ticking all the right boxes. It is important that we keep all our promising young players and Matt's decision that his future lies with the Bulls is a big fillip for the club."James is delighted to have his contract extended by the club. "My future is here at Bradford and it's the only place I wanted to sign. They club has kept its promise that they would reward me if I progressed and they've come in early to get me and I'm really pleased.
"I know I need to keep improving and hopefully in the next few years I'll be able to establish myself in the Bulls first team. Realistically, I wasn't expecting much first team football this season but it was great to make my debut at Hull and it's all gone better than I could have imagined. Now I need to keep working hard and repay the faith they have shown in me."News sent by: www.bradfordbulls.co.uk
