Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukengage Super League and Carnegie World Club Champions, Bradford Bulls, have today announced the signing of former Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Leeds Rhinos Prop Forward Chris Feather.
Feather, who is 24 and is 6ft 4" and weighs 112 kg's, has signed a three year contract at Odsal. He went to Headingley from Wakefield at the start of the 2003 season and played every game under Coach Darryl Powell. He was also loaned back to Wakefield for a spell in 2004 and 2005.
Feather is delighted to be joining the Bulls:
"I'm really pleased and looking forward to joining up already. I'm from Keighley and a lot of my family and friends have been Bradford fans for a long time. I wasn't expecting a contract from Leeds as I have not figured in their plans for a while but now I'm hoping to come to the Bulls and really make my mark. I liked what Steve McNamara had to say about the club and his plans for me and I know I can win trophies at the Grattan Stadium."Steve McNamara is really pleased to be getting one of the biggest men in the engage Super League:
"We're delighted to have got Chris to come to Bulls. He's a huge man who has caused us trouble in the past with both Leeds and Wakefield. He keeps that size in our pack but there's a load of potential there as well and he's a hell of a lot of improvement still left in him. We're really looking forward to working closely with him and enhancing that and I think he will be a great signing for us."News sent by:

Source: www.leedsrugby.comLeeds Rhinos have today confirmed that prop Chris Feather will be ruled out for six weeks after fracturing his scaphoid bone in his hand during Friday night's victory over Wakefield at Headingley Carnegie.
Feather will almost certainly miss the Rhinos Powergen Challenge Cup semi final against Huddersfield on 30th July at Odsal and is not due to return until early August. The former Wakefield front rower will have surgery on the injury on Tuesday and joins Richard Mathers and Matt Diskin currently on the sidelines for Leeds.
There was good news for Head Coach Tony Smith however with the return of England international Nick Scruton from injury. Commenting on the news Smith said,
"It is disappointing for Chris because he was getting a good run in the side recently but the surgery is routine and we are confident he will be back available in six weeks. It is good to have Nick Scruton back available after missing the last two games, not just because of Chris' injury but also the form he was showing before the injury."Meanwhile, Chief Executive Gary Hetherington has confirmed that the Rhinos are hoping to bring in Kiwi Test centre Clinton Toopi to boost their squad for the engage Super League title run-in.
Toopi is due to join Rhinos next season, but Hetherington is hoping his current club New Zealand Warriors will release the player three months early. The centre is currently in the UK for Tuesday's XXXX Test between Great Britain and New Zealand. He attended Friday's game against Wakefield at Headingley Carnegie and received a warm reception from the Leeds fans.
Gary Hetherington commented,
"Clinton's manager Peter Brown is going to approach the Warriors to sound out the possibility of him joining us for the rest of this season. There will be discussions early this week. The deadline for any new players to play until the end of the season is July 18, so we will have to move quickly if anything is going to happen."News sent by:
