Source: www.melbournestorm.com.auMelbourne Storm hooker James Aubusson has signed with the Sydney Roosters for the 2008 season.
After previous stints with the Bulldogs and the Roosters, Aubusson came to Melbourne at the beginning of 2006, and in his time at the club has blossomed into a promising first-grade player.
Storm Recruitment Manager Peter O'Sullivan, while disappointed to lose Aubusson to Sydney, realises the salary cap is an issue for teams that are successful.
"We're very disappointed to lose James," said O'Sullivan.
"We thought it was in his best interests to stay one more year with us, but with Craig Wing leaving for Souths he can see a starting first-grade spot for himself at the Roosters.
"It's disappointing for the club as we've put a lot of time into James and we are just beginning to see the fruits of the hard work he and the coaching staff have put in.
"I can understand that he wanted a long term deal and a starting spot, and unfortunately we couldn't offer that to him.
"At the end of the day we are going to fall victim to our team's success as the salary cap bites and individuals look for starting spots in other teams.
"We wish him well for the future, but now we just want to focus on this weekend's game against the Dragons, and the remainder of the season."Aubusson began his career in Ballina before gaining a scholarship with NRL club the Bulldogs. After a short stint with the club, he moved on to the Sydney Roosters where he started 2005 in the Premier League team before finishing the year playing in Jersey Flegg.
Season 2005 was a particularly good year for Aubusson's representative career gaining New South Wales under-19 and Junior Kangaroo honours.
He also represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2003.
Aubusson had a successful 2006 at Queensland Cup level, but injuries and the form of Nathan Friend meant he had limited chances at NRL level.
Aubusson 's great attributes are his defence and great passing game. He has great natural strength and is a fierce competitor. Aubusson is one of the fittest players playing the game and he fit into the Storm culture with a great deal of ease.
With the departure of Nathan Friend to the Gold Coast at the end of 2006, James was beginning to establish his place in the Storm's first-grade team as a hooker and utility player.

Source: www.sydneyroosters.com.auThe Sydney Roosters have today confirmed the signing of promising young hooker, James Aubusson, for three seasons.
Aubusson will return to the Roosters in 2008 after two years at the Melbourne Storm, where he has learnt his trade under Australian Hooker Cameron Smith.
He has produced two 'Man of the Match' performances this season in the two NRL games that he has played, one against the Roosters in Round 10.
A former Australian Schoolboy, Aubusson will rejoin his brother Mitchell, who is looking forward to his return.
"It's exciting news for James, myself and the family. We've always wanted to play at the top level together and to get that opportunity now is great," said Mitchell.
James' signing is a continuation of the club's youth policy.
