Source: www.warriors.co.nzKiwi internationals Louis Anderson and Jerome Ropati have been called into the Vodafone Warriors' NRL side for Saturday night's clash against Cronulla at Mt Smart Stadium.
Ropati is now set to play his first NRL match of the year after being troubled by back and hamstring complaints.
After missing the club's pre-season trials and the early rounds of the NRL, the 22-year-old Ropati started his comeback two weeks ago.
First he turned out for the Auckland Lions in the Bartercard Cup before playing for the Vodafone Auckland Lions in their New South Wales Premier League clash against North Sydney last Saturday.
Anderson (21) was forced from the field with an ankle injury in the Vodafone Warriors' season-opening win against Parramatta on March 17.
He played his first game since when he joined Ropati in the Vodafone Auckland Lions last weekend.
With Ropati and Anderson coming into the side, head coach Ivan Cleary has released hooker George Gatis and back rower Corey Lawrie to play for the Vodafone Auckland Lions in Saturday night's premier league curtain-raiser against the Sharks. Gatis and Lawrie were both on the bench for last Sunday's dramatic 18-16 NRL victory against the Rabbitohs.
Vodafone Warriors utility Patrick Ah Van will also be playing his first NRL match of the year on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old was brought into the side to replace suspended first-choice fullback Wade McKinnon.
After making a delayed start to the season following off-season shoulder surgery, Ah Van has played three games at fullback for the Vodafone Auckland Lions in the New South Wales Premier League.
He started at fullback twice in his 15 appearances for the Vodafone Warriors in his rookie season in 2006.

Source: www.warriors.co.nzVodafone Warriors back rower Louis Anderson today announced he'll leave the club after the 2007 NRL season to join his older brother Vinnie at English Super League side Warrington next year.
The 21-year-old Kiwi international, who is off contract this year, said the desire to team up with his sibling was the key to his decision to sign a two-year deal with the Wolves.
"I've had a great time with the Vodafone Warriors and I owe a lot to them for giving me my break in rugby league," he said.
"But I was really keen to play alongside Vinnie once again. We had a year together at the Vodafone Warriors in 2004 and we were also team-mates in the Kiwis that year.
"We're a tight family and this is probably the last chance I'll have to play in the same team as him (Vinnie Anderson is 28 next month). It's really important to me."Anderson, who has played 57 times for the Vodafone Warriors since his debut in 2004, said he also wanted to make a decision ahead of the 2007 NRL season.
"Because I'm off contract this year I didn't want to be distracted about this during the NRL season," he said.
"By making an announcement now it's out of the way and I can concentrate on making sure I have the best season I can possibly have for the Vodafone Warriors.
"It was difficult telling the boys today but I'm happy with my decision."Anderson also stressed he wants to return to the Vodafone Warriors in the future.
"I'm only 21, I want to play in the NRL again and the only club I'd want to play for would be the Vodafone Warriors, of course."After playing 13 consecutive tests since his New Zealand debut in 2004, Anderson was forced to miss the 2006 Tri-Nations after having surgery on a stress fracture in his left foot.
"I really want to get back into the Kiwis this year but, to do that, I know I'll have to play well so that's even more motivation this season."Vodafone Warriors CEO Wayne Scurrah said the club was "naturally disappointed" it would lose Anderson at the end of the season.
"Louis is an example of what we are striving to achieve in developing local players into first graders and internationals," he said.
"But we understand how much his family means to him and why he wants to play alongside Vinnie again.
"We also appreciate Louis has made this decision early. It's good for him and it's valuable for us because it gives us more time to plan for his replacement.
"We'd like to think he'll come back to the Vodafone Warriors in the future and look forward to him having a big year for the club before he goes to England."Three Anderson brothers have nowplayed in the NRL. Vinnie appeared 55 times for the Vodafone Warriors from 2002-04 while 22-year-old Fraser, a winger, made his debut for Brisbane in 2006 but has moved to Cronulla for the 2007 season.
