HOW MUCH ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING ON ST HELENS?
This is a game that the whole club is really looking forward to. You raise the bar when you play against St Helens because they are a club with a proud history and we are excited about going to Knowsley Road.
They showed good form against Wigan when they played really well. They were unlucky at Huddersfield where they did a lot of tackling and missed a couple of opportunities that could have turned the game their way. That game was just two days after the Wigan match so we won't be reading too much into the Giants result.
ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING ON YOUR OLD BOSS DANIEL ANDERSON?
I have got a lot of time for Dan and we are good friends but I don't think of the game as coach versus coach, we will both being doing the best for our players. The reason I am excited about this game is not because I am coming up against Daniel or that my dad used to coach St Helens, it is because I am excited for our players. You only have to listen to the players talk to know they like the challenge of playing against St Helens.
HOW IS YOUR SQUAD SHAPING UP?
We were fortunate in our two games over Easter that we have been able to get out to leads which has meant the games are less stressful on us both physically and mentally. The players have been training really well this week, there is a spring in their step, and that is what playing against St Helens brings out in you.
HOW PLEASED HAVE YOU BEEN WITH YOUR SQUAD OVER THIS BUSY PERIOD?
Our young players have gone really well. One of the positives this season so far has been how the young ones have come through and contributed to the team. The senior players have appreciated that and we have had the opportunity to also bring through even younger players like Danny Allan and Ben Jones-Bishop to experience the first team environment as well. That is good not only for this year but for the years ahead; making full use of our academy system bodes well for the health of the club.
