The Chester Hill Rhinos have suffered their second successive narrow loss going down 30-22 against Windsor at the Terry Lamb Complex last Friday night.
In a match marred by elementary errors the Rhinos came from 20-12 down to grab a 22-20 before two late tries saw Windsor grab the points.
Chester Hill opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Reece Pritchard crossed over leaping high to catch a cross field bomb. Windsor struck back with tries to Dan Chiha in the 14th minute and Chris Barlow eight minutes later to lead 10-6.
The Rhinos regained the lead with Tini Tuitama scoring in the 34th minute, but Windsor went into the break with the lead with a try to Ashley Hazleton three minutes before the break to lead 16-12.
Windsor extended their lead moments into the second half when Tyson Muscatt scored to put the visitors up 20-12. Chester Hill fought back with two tries in two minutes through Ben Setephano and Travis Robinson to lead 22-20.
Silly mistakes and lack of concentration from the Rhinos allowed Windsor to score a gift try to fullback Dan Randall in the 74th minute and sealed victory when Dean Caldwell crossed over in the final stages.
Best for Windsor were McKonkie Tauasa, Victor Penitiana, Titi Nuimata and Dean Caldwell and for the Rhinos James Koloamatamgi and Luke Millward had impressive games.
