Another big away loss for Warriors

Penrith gave the Vodafone Warriors their fifth consecutive away loss in today's 10th round NRL clash at CUA Stadium.

After leading 22-6 at the break, the Panthers surged to a 40-6 lead early in the second half before the Vodafone Warriors scored three tries to trim the margin.

Second rower Simon Mannering scored a double while interchange prop Russell Packer bulldozed his way across for his first NJRL try in just his second appearance.

Penrith Panthers 46 (Frank Pritchard 2, Michael Gordon 2, Michael Jennings 2, Luke Rooney, Trent Waterhouse tries; Michael Gordon 6 conversions, penalty).

Wiki back for Warriors, Tate on Origin duty

Centre Brent Tate will miss the Vodafone Warriors' NRL clash against Penrith after being selected in the Queensland team today for next week's first State of Origin Match in Sydney.

He has been replaced by Jerome Ropati, who returns from a hamstring injury for Sunday's clash with the Panthers at CUA Stadium.

Also returning to the line-up on a 5-man bench is veteran Ruben Wiki. He missed the 14-6 win over Canberra on May 4 with a hand injury.
