Tue April 18, 2006 Source: www.hullfc.comHull have taken maximum points from the Easter period with Kirk Yeaman running in three tries on their way to a 36-24 defeat of Wakefield Wildcats at the KC Stadium. Kirk Yeaman clinched victory with the third try of a hat-trick near the end, with Nathan Blacklock grabbing a brace. Motu Tony also got on the scoresheet in an entertaining second half, in which Trinity, 14-12 adrift at half-time, refused to lie down. Tries from Jason Demetriou, Sam Obst, Jamie Rooney and Paul White kept them in touch but Hull eventually prevailed. Agar, who started his temporary reign with an impressive win at Huddersfield on Friday, will now lead his troops to the south of France to face Catalans Dragons on Saturday, before handing over to the incoming Peter Sharp. Sharp will no doubt be relishing the prospect of working with Richard Horne, who marked his 200th club appearance with an outstanding display. Report source: www.hullfc.com |
